The Rideau Canal is a chain of lakes and rivers travelling from Kingston to Ottawa. A National Historic Site, the Locks assist boats in navigation and are a natural attraction for visitors who can watch the locks in action. Lock 26 & 27, known as Old Slys, is a double lock that is crossed by the CN Rail line.
